Q: Who are eligible to vote?

A: Alumni in good standing meaning up to date with annual membership dues may vote. Lifetime members are considered always eligible to vote.

Q: How many trustees need to be elected each year?

A: Every year, five (5) Trustees are elected. Each trustee serves a term of three (3) years.

Q: Who can nominate and be nominated as Trustee?

A: Alumni in good standing can nominate and an alumni with lifetime membership status can be nominated as Trustee. Considered Alumni are graduates of the UP School of Economics in its undergraduate, graduate and docoral programs and those that have stayed for at least two years in school. Alumni can serve as Trustees for a maximum period ofvtwo terms or six (6) years.

Q: How can you vote?

A: There are three (3) ways by which you can vote, namely:

  1. Directly choosing a candidate via UPSEAA’s website, and within a precribed period;
  2. By proxy given a form sent online, and within a specific window; and
  3. Face-to-face on Homecoming day by way of a physical ballot.

Q: Who tallies all the votes?

A: A designated representative from UPSEAA, Ms Rose San Pascual canvasses all the votes, received prior to and during the annual Alumni Homecoming Day.
